Karl Swanepoel

Karl is the founder and CEO of a tech company called Revolancer that was established 2 years ago.  Revolancer connects small businesses with freelancers in order to improve the freelancing industry.  Revolancer was designed for jobs that can be done remotely and help a small business, and the four main categories are graphic design, website development, media, and marketing.  This helps aid freelancers and small business owners with getting connected to one another.  

 

 

His journey that led him starting Revolance began when he was just 14.  At this age, he began to freelance and felt that all of the existing platforms were outdated.  Fast forward to 2020 when the pandemic hit, and he saw a need for small business owners and freelancers to be connected safely, and from that came Revolance.

 

 

Throughout the episode, Karl discusses his personal experience with freelance work, seeing a need and a market for freelancers and small businesses owners to be connected, and the excitement of working in an industry that is ever changing.
